Salesforce Maps can help marketing teams to plan and execute customer events by allowing them to plot leads and contacts on the map, select a specific location based on the most populated area, create a shape around the selected area, and use mass actions to add leads and/or contacts to an existing campaign. This way, marke ting teams can target the most relevant and engaged prospects for their event, and invite them using a marketing campaign.  According to the Salesforce Maps documentation 1 , users can create layers of leads and contacts on the map, filter them by various criteria, such as Pardot score, industry, or account type, select a point of interest as a reference location for the event, such as a hotel or a conference center, draw a shape around the point of interest to define a boundary, such as a radius or a travel time, ag gregate the data of the leads and contacts within the boundary, such as the average score or the number of attendees, and use mass actions to add them to an existing campaign in Salesforce 2 . The Maps Live Asset Daily Summary object should be included in a Salesforce Re port to see the total distance traveled each day by a Sales Rep. This object stores the summary information of a Live Asset’s activity for a given day, such as the start and end time, the total distance, the total duration, and the number of stops. The adm in can create a report using this object and filter by the Live Asset name or ID to see the distance traveled by each Sales Rep. This is explained in the  Create Reports for Live Assets  document.

A Salesforce Maps Solution Architect should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, understanding of design pitfalls and mitigation actions, and being effective at planning, monitoring, and reviewing Maps customer use cases to successfully scope the project. These abilities are essential for gathering and analyzing the customer’s requirements, designing and pro posing the best solution, and ensuring the quality and satisfaction of the implementation. These abilities are also part of the  Salesforce Maps Solution Architect Certification  exam guide.

These are the three steps that the admin must complete to include their custom object Alpine Customers in Maps Advanced routing.  According to the article "Configure custom routable object for Maps Advanced" 1 , a routable o bject is an object that represents the location users will navigate to within their Salesforce Maps Advanced Visit Plans, such as Accounts.  To configure a custom object as a routable object, the admin needs to create a lookup relationship field on the Maps Advanced Route Waypoint object that points to the custom object 1 .  The admin also needs to create a custom report type for the custom ob ject in order to import the customer list for routing 2 .  Additionally, the admin needs to ensure that all records of the custom object have geocodes (latitude/longitude values ) assigned, as this is required for plotting them on the map and routing them 3 .  Making sure that Click2Create is configured for Alpine Customers is not a necessary step, as Click2Create is a feature that allows users to create records directly from the map view, not t o include them in routing 4 .  Ensuring that users are assigned to the records or related records they want to route via user lookup field is also not a necessary step, as this is only required for Enterprise Territory Management integration, not for routing 5 .

Defining customer user stories is the process of identifying which user stories the implementation team will build based on the customer’s needs and priorities. Designing customer user stories is the process of determining how the implementation team wi ll build the user stories based on the best practices and technical specifications. Salesforce Maps Live Tracking allows users to track the live and historical locations of vehicles , equipment, and users in the field. To generate reports on the distance driven by each sales rep, the admin needs to use the Maps Live Asset Daily Summary object. This object contains the summary data for each asset, such as the total distance, duration, and fuel consumption for a given day. The admin can create a report on this object and group it by the asset name or driver name to see the total mileage driven by each sales rep on their team. According to the Salesforce Maps documentation 1 , users can change their preferred naviga tion app for the Take Me There feature in the mobile application. The Take Me There feature allows users to get turn-by-turn directions from their current location to a selected marker, stop, or appointment on the map. By default, the Take Me There feature uses the native navigation app of the mobile device, such as Google Maps for Android or Apple Maps for iOS. However, users can choose a different navigation app, such as Waze, from the Advanced Settings menu in the mobile application.  To do so, users can follow these steps 1 :

Tap the settings cog at the top left corner of the screen to open Salesforce Maps Mobile App Settings.

Select Handle Maps from the settings menu and choose your preferred navigation app.
